Description: The Irish kept a Home (or Hogar) for young women in need of help and this envelope informs us about it. In general, the Irish community first accepted only Irish immigrants but, in time, opened the establishment to all the young women in need. Before 1943, however, the Home only sheltered young girls of Irish origin who lived far away from their families in were in search of a decent job. It was created in 1911.
