The publication has several sections: organizational (it publishes the statutory documents of the society, a chronicle of its activities, reports, minutes of meetings, lists of members), a section of scientific research (historical, ethnographic, philological), works of art (prose, poetry), bibliography and correspondence sections. The set contains issues 1-3 for 1865 (pages 1-402) and issues 1-4 for 1866 (pages 403-790). The publications contain a table of contents for each volume.
