Sabba pāramī means the 30 perfections of the Buddha. The content tells since the Bodhisattva was born as a poorman named Katthaharaka who was a wood cutter and took care of his mother until the first Buddhist Council. Pāramī (perfection) means the noble deeds, the goodness that has been cultivated, and the features that make it great and is an important part of the virtues which helps and encourages practitioners to attain the enlightenment. All Bodhisattvas have practiced and completed the 30 perfections, thus attaining enlightenment as a Buddha. The 30 perfections mean the 10 perfections, but there are 3 levels, divided into the ordinary perfections 10 called pāramī which are due to objects and assets outside the body; the superior perfections 10 called upapāramī which are due to the flesh and organs; the supreme perfections called paramatthapāramī which are due to life. Therefore, a total of 30 perfections are included. The thirty perfections are dāna-giving, sīla-morality, nekkhamma-renunciation, panna-wisdom, viriya-energy, khanti-forbearance, sacca-truthfulness, adhitthāna-resolution, mettā-loving-kindness, and upekkhā-equanimity. Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: Sangkat (CS) 1217, a hap mao year, on the eleventh day of the waxing moon of the seventh lunar month, a kap san day, the first day of the week (Sunday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Phò Mòm Si (father of Monk Si) and his wife had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Sappha Pārami (All perfections) to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition to reach Nirvana.
