ເຈຕະນາເພທາ (ຜູກ ໕)

ໃນສະໄໝໜຶ່ງ ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າປະທັບຢູ່ວັດພະເຊຕະວັນ ເມືອງສາວັດຖີ. ໃນຄັ້ງນັ້ນ ພະມະຫາອະນຸຣຸດຕະຣະເຖລະ ໄດ້ເຂົ້າເຝົ້າພະພຸດທະອົງແລະຂາບທູນຖາມ ເລື່ອງ ສະພາວະການເກີດຂອງຄົນທັງຫຼາຍ. ຜູ້ທີ່ເກີດໃນຊາດນີ້ມີສະພາວະເປັນແນວໃດ ຖ້າເກີດໃນຊາດໜ້າຈະຍັງຄົງສະພາວະຢູ່ແບບນັ້ນຫຼືບໍ່ ເຊັ່ນ ເກີດເປັນຜູ້ຊາຍໃນຊາດນີ້ ຊາດໜ້າຈະໄດ້ເກີດເປັນຜູ້ຊາຍຫຼືບໍ່, ເກີດເປັນຄົນດີມີປັນຍາໃນຊາດນີ້ ຊາດໜ້າຈະໄດ້ເປັນຜູ້ດີມີປັນຍາຫຼືບໍ່ແລະຖ້າເກີດເປັນຄົນຊົ່ວໃນຊາດນີ້ ຊາດໜ້າຈະເກີດເປັນຄົນຊົ່ວຫຼືບໍ່? ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າກໍ່ຊົງສະແດງທໍາໃຫ້ແກ່ພະມະຫາອະນຸຣຸດຕະຣະເຖລະ ໂດຍຕັດເລື່ອງ ຈິດ, ເຈຕະສິກ, ບຸບພະກໍາ ທີ່ໄດ້ກະທໍາເມື່ອຄັ້ງຍັງເປັນມະນຸດ, ສາເຫດຂອງການວຽນວ່າຍຕາຍເກີດໃນວັດຕະສົງສານ ແລະຜົນຂອງກໍາທີ່ຈະຕິດຕົວເຮົານໍາໄປສູ່ການເກີດໃນພົບພູມຕໍ່ໄປ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ ໓໔ ໜ້າ ໑: ພະພຸດທະສັງກາດ ໑໒໙໑ ຕົວ ປີກັດໃສ້ ເດືອນ ໔ ແຮມຄໍ່າ ໑ ວັນເສົາ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມກອງງາຍ ໝາຍມີ ນາງເພັຍທີ ເປັນສັດທາຊື້ລານ ໝາຍມີ ສົມເດັດຣັດຕະນະປັນຍາ ເປັນຜູ້ຣິດຈະນາ ຈິ່ງໄດ້ພ້ອມກັນມີສັດທາສ້າງ ເຈຕະນາເພທາ ມັດນີ້ ໄວ້ກັບສາສະໜາພະໂຄຕະມະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າຖ້ວນ ໕໐໐໐ ພະວັດສາ. ຂໍຜະລະອັນນີ້ເປັນປັດໄຈແກ່ຂ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າເຂົ້າສູ່ນີຣະພານ ຕັດບ່ວງເບັນຈະມານຄາດໄດ້ດັ່ງຄໍາໝາຍແດ່ກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ. ອະຣະຫັນໂຕ ໂຫມິ ອະນາຄະເຕ ກາເລ ສັນຕິເກ ປັບພັດຊັງ ມະມະ ປາປຸນັນຕິ ນິບພານັງ ປະຣະມັງ ສຸກຂັງ ນິດຈັງ ທຸວັງໆ.

On one occasion, the Buddha was present at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi. At the time, Venerable Maha Anuruttara, came the presence of the Buddha and asked him about the conditions of birth of the human beings. What is the condition of those who are born in this life, if they are born in the next life, will they remain in that state or not? Being born as a good person with wisdom in this life, the nation will be good and wise or not, and if born as a bad person in this life, will the one be born as a bad person or not? The Buddha then preached a sermon to Venerable Maha Anuruttara by explaining about Citta (consciousness), Cetasika (mental factors), and Pubbhakamma kamma (the results of former actions) that happened when one was still a human being, the cause of death and rebirth in the round of rebirths and the result of karma that will lead us to be born in the next worlds. Colophon: Folio 34 on the recto side: In Buddhist Era 1291 (this means CS 1291), a kat sai year, on the first day of the waning moon of the fourth lunar month, Saturday, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Nang Phia Thi sponsored the palm leaves. Somdet Rattanapannya is the scribe. They jointly had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript-bundle entitled Chetanaphetha (Cetanābedā) to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May the results of this merit be a condition for us until entering Nirvana and cut the five obstructions as my wishes. Arahanto homi anāgate kāle santike pabbajjam mama pāpunanti nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ niccaṃ dhuvaṃ.
