The story tells sòng phā āp nam fon (rewards derived from the donation of rains-cloth). One occasion, the Buddha was dwelling at the vulture peak with other 500 monks. There, Indra, brahma and devas came and worshiped the Buddha with incenses, lights and flowers. King Bibisala also came and asked questions to the Buddha. What should the people do in the rainy season? The Buddha suggested the king to offer monks the clothes for the rains. Then the Buddha gave a sermon and spoke about the merit which derived from offering the clothes for the rains.
