In the Buddha’s time, there was a group of seven monks who wished to visit the Buddha. They travelled to the Jetavana monastery. When they arrived in Savatthi, they stayed in a cave. When night came, a large stone rolled down to the mouth of the cave made those monks suffered because they did not have any meals because no one could remove the stone. On the 7th day, the stone rolled out by itself. Those monks went and asked the Buddha what was the reason why a large rock came over the mouth of the cave where they were staying. The Buddha said that in the past, all of you who were cattle herders in Varanasi saw a lizard and chased it. The lizard ran into the ant hole. You trapped the lizard for seven days. Then a group of children came to dig the ant hole and the lizard was able to come out.
