One day when Princess Sumunda was playing in the public garden, Kumphan Yaksa who was flying to see many cities until arrived in Pengchan or Panchala Nakhon. When Kumphan Yaksa saw the princess in the garden, he was fallen in love with her and wanted to marry her. Then he flew down and carried the princess to his giant kingdom for his wife. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Sangkat (CS) 1245, a ka mot year, the fourth day of the waning moon of the fourth lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Xiang (ex-novice) Lao and his wife, Sao Thum together with all their children, grandchildren and relatives had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Sangsinsaiyarat, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May our wishes and desires come true. Amen, amen! Constantly and certainly the greatest bliss.
