The story of Phet who is the mother of Uttara’s mother ghost. Uttarmanbo became the successor of his father as a councilor in Kosambi. One day, he met Venerable Maha Kaccayana along with other 12 monks staying in the forest. After listening to the preaching from those elders, he became faithful in them and invited the monks to have meal at his home. As for Uttara's mother, she was a miser and had a dirty mind, so she said to her son that, giving alms is useless. Later, Uttara built a temple and donated to the monks and also offered a peacock's tail to the monks on the day the temple was dedicated, on this donation, his mother was pleased and rejoiced with. When she died, she was born as a ghost with long hair. As a results of offering the peacock's tail, she had long and soft hair like a peacock's tail.
