Tika Dhammachak (Expansion scripture of the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta). The Buddha spoke to Kondanya Thera about his previous existence. Once in the past, a king named Sirisomani ruled Benares. The king had his queen named Sugandiyadevi. At the time, a rich man named Punyagandasetthi lived in Danyavatigama in Benares. Punyagandasetthi was the rich man with much treasure and seven crystal castles. The Bodhisatta came to the womb of Candavadtidevi, the Punyagandasetthi’s wife. When the Bodhisatta was born, a miracle happened that was an earthquake. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Sangkat 176 (corresponding with CS 1176), a kap set year, the fourth day of the waxing moon of the first lunar month, and a tao set day. The writing was accomplished at the horn closed to (between 15.00–16.30 o’clock). The royal faith of the king had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Tika Thammachak to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition to reach Nibbāna.
