The Dhammapada on Ariyasacca 4. Ariyasacca, the Noble Truths consists of four: 1. Dukkha Ariyasacca: The noble truth of suffering. 2. Samudaya Ariyasacca: The noble truth of the cuase of suffering. 3. Nirodha Ariyasacca: The noble truth of the cessation of suffering. 4. Magga Ariyasacca: The noble truth of the path leading to the cessation of suffering. Colophon: Folio 25 on the verso side: Sangkat 168 (corresponding with CS 1168), a hwai nyi year, the fourth day of the waxing moon of the fourth lunar month, the fifth day of the week (Thursday), and a hwai chai day. The writing was accomplished at the fourth watch (between 03.00 – 06.00 o’clock). The royal king had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Thammabot (Dhammapada) to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
