Phanya Khuettarat governed Uttarapanya kingdom with 10 virtues of a king and observed five and eight precepts regularly, until he passed away at the age of 9800,000 years, and was reborn as Naranya Brahma in a heaven with the lifespan of 85,000 heavenly years. Phanya Phimmasan, Phanya Parot, Khun Thai, Phanya Nungphan Phommathat, queens and members of the royal family came together to pay their respects to the body of Phanya Khuettarat. His body was enshrined in a fine casket decorated of crystal, silver, and gold in the castle. Thereafter, Phanya Phimmasan was successor to the throne as the king of Uttarapanchara kingdom, and Phanya Parot ascended to the throne as the king of Thavali kingdom.
