Pannyaparami (Paññā-pāramī) means the thirty perfections of wisdom of the Buddhas is the peak of the Dhamma. All Buddhas have been completely performed Panyaparami before their enlightenment and becoming the Blessed Ones. While residing in the Jetavana monastery, the Buddha spoke about his performance of Khanti paramattha parami (supreme perfection of forbearance). Once upon a time, there was a king named Karuku ruling the kingdom of Varanasi. The Bodhisatta was born as a hermit practicing meditation in the forest. One day, the hermit came to the king's garden. When the king’s concubines saw the hermit, they became faithful in him. So they came to the hermit and asked for listening to his Dhamma. When the king found out, he was not satisfied. So, he ordered two servants to destroy the hermit by cutting off his arms, legs, ears and nose. But the Bodhisatta did not respond. In the end, the Bodhisatta died and the king was pumped by the earth.
