On one occasion, while residing at the Veluvana monastery in Rajagaha, the Buddha gave a sermon to the four groups of his followers. Any person who has a mind shining with faith in the Triple Gem and does merit-making by giving alms, practicing meditation, observing the five or eight precepts and listening to the Dhamma, remembering the virtues of the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha regularly. After death, the person will be reborn in the heavenly realm. But if the one does not give alms and is being intoxicated in alcohol, after death, will go to hell and receive such misery. Xiang Phan and his wife from the village of Xiangmaen had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Anumaka to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccayo hotu no (May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna). On the tenth day of the waxing moon of the fith unar month, a Saturday, in a kot san year. May the results of this merit be a condition to support our parents, siblings, children and grandchildren who already passed away. Even if they have been stuck in a misery place, may they be moved to a good place, definitely. If they have already been in a good place, may they be better than ever, by ten thousand times and one hundred thousand times, definitely.
