ມະໂຫສົດຊາດົກ ເລື່ອງ ພະໂພທິສັດຊົງສະເຫວີຍພະຊາດເປັນພະມະໂຫສົດ ເປັນບຸດຂອງເສດຖີຊື່ ສິຣິວັດທະກະແລະນາງສຸມະນະເທວີແຫ່ງເມືອງມິຖິລາ. ເຫດທີ່ໃຊ້ຊື່ວ່າ ມະໂຫສົດ ເພາະເມື່ອເກີດມາ ໃນມືກໍາທ່ອນຢາວິເສດຂອງພະອິນຕິດຕົວມານໍາ ເຊິ່ງຕໍ່ມາໄດ້ນໍາມາປິ່ນປົວຄົນເຈັບໄຂ້ໄດ້ປ່ວຍ ໄດ້ຜົນຢ່າງໜ້າອັດສະຈັນ. ມະໂຫສົດໄດ້ສະແດງສະຕິປັນຍາອັນຫຼັກແຫຼມຕັ້ງແຕ່ໄວເດັກຈົນເຖິງໄວໜຸ່ມ ໄດ້ຊ່ວຍແກ້ໄຂບັນຫາ ຂໍ້ພິພາດໃຫ້ເພື່ອນບ້ານດ້ວຍສະຕິປັນຍາອັນຊານສະຫຼາດ ໂຮມທັງຖືກພະຣາຊາທົດສອບການໃຊ້ປັນຍາແກ້ໄຂບັນຫາຕ່າງໆ ຊຶ່ງມະໂຫສົດສາມາດເຮັດໄດ້ດ້ວຍດີ. ມະໂຫສົດໄດ້ຮັບແຕ່ງຕັ້ງເປັນຣາຊະບັນດິດປະຈໍາຣາຊະສໍານັກຂອງພະເຈົ້າວິເທຫະຣາດແຫ່ງເມືອງມິຖິລາ. ພະອົງຈຶ່ງຊົງນັບຖືແລະເຊື່ອໝັ້ນໃນສະຕິປັນຍາຂອງມະໂຫສົດ ແລະໂຜດໃຫ້ສັ່ງສອນທໍາແກ່ພະອົງແລະຂ້າຣາຊະການທັງຫຼາຍ. ມະໂຫສົດຍັງໃຊ້ສະຕິປັນຍາແກ້ໄຂສະຖານະການຄັບຂັນ ຊ່ວຍປ້ອງກັນບ້ານເມືອງຈາກການຄຸກຄາມຂອງຂ້າເສິກສັດຕູຫຼາຍເທື່ອ ເຮັດໃຫ້ມະໂຫາສົດເປັນທີໂປດປານຂອງພະຣາຊາຍິ່ງນັກ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: (໑) ລານທີ ໒໖ ໜ້າ ໑ ແລະລານທີ ໒໗ ໜ້າ ໑ ມີເນື້ອຄວາມຄືກັນ: ຈຸນລະສັງກາດຣາຊະໄດ້ ໑໒໖໗ ຕົວ ປີຮັບໃສ້ ເດືອນ ໔ ຂຶ້ນຄໍ່າ ໑ ວັນ ໖ ມື້ເປິກເສັດ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມກອງງາຍ ໝາຍມີ ມະຫາສົມເດັດສັງຄະຊາໂພທິປັນຍາ ໄດ້ສະແຫວງຫານໍາມາຍັງ ມະໂຫສົດ ດວງນີ້ ຈິ່ງບັງເກີດໂສມະນັດສະອະສັງຂະຣິກກັນຍານະສໍາປະຍຸດກຸສະລະເຈດຕະນາເປັນອັນຍິ່ງ ຈິ່ງໄດ້ໄປເມດຕາໃຫ້ເພັຍຫອມສົມບັດຜົວເມຍເປັນສັດທາ ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າໂພທິປັນຍາ ເປັນຜູ້ຣິດຈະນາໃຫ້ແລ້ວບໍຣະບວນ ສ້າງໄວ້ກັບສາສະໜາ ພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕ ພັນວັດສາ ຂໍໃຫ້ຜະລະບຸນທັງຫລາຍຝູງນີ້ ຈົ່ງໃຫ້ນໍາມາເປັນປັກກະຕຸອຸບປະນິໄສ ເປັນປັດໄຈຄໍ້າຊູຍັງຝູງຂ້າຫລາຍໄປໄຈວ້ໆ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າເຂົ້າສູ່ນີພານກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ ນິດຈັງ ທຸວັງ ທຸວັງ ປະຣະມັງ ສຸກຂັງ.

Mahosadha Jataka is the story of the Bodhisatta took the birth of Mahosadha, the son of a rich man named Sirivatthaka and Sumanadevi of Mithila. The reason for using the name “Mahosadha” is because at birth, the baby’s hand carried Indra’s magic pill, which was later used to treat the patients with amazing results. From childhood to adolescence, the talent of Mahosadha showed great intelligence, helping his neighbors to resolve disputes with his wise wisdom and being tested by the king to solve problems that Mahosadha could have done well. Mahosadha was appointed as the royal sage of the royal court of King Videharaja of Mithila. The king respected and believed in the wisdom of Mahasadha and allowed him to teach the king and his servants. Mahosadha also used his intelligence to solve difficult situations, defending the country from the threat of enemies many times, making Mahosadha a favorite of the king. Colophons: Folios 26 and 27 on the recto side, the texts are the same: Chunlasangkat (CS) 1267, a hap sai year, on the first day of the waxing moon of the fourth lunar month, the sixth day of the week (Friday), a poek set day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Maha Sangkhasa Phothipannya found this Dhamma of Mahosot (Mahosatha) with deed happiness and goodwill, asked Phia Homsombat and his wife to sponsor the making of this manuscript. I am Phothipannya is the scribe. The making of this manuscript is to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May the results of this merit be a condition to support all of us forever to last until entering Nirvana, definitely. Niccaṃ dhuvaṃ dhuvaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ (Constantly and certainly, the greatest bliss).
