The volume contains letters received by the Governor of the colony of Sierra Leone from the Secretary of State for the Colonies. It contains despatches forwarded from different offices like the Foreign Office, War Office, Barracks Office etc. Some letters written by the French consul and written in French were also forwarded and included in this volume. 'There are also reports on the use of carbolic acid, estimates of civil servants etc.
