Prince Madrais Alibasa Manuscript No. 120

The manuscript No.120 is written in a set of loose folios. The size is 34.5 x 21.5 cm. The condition of paper is brittle, torn, taped and yellowing. The ink penetrates to the reverse side, but the writing is still readable. In this manuscript, Prince Madrais describes a condition in Dutch colonial era when the regents of Kuningan, Cirebon, Majalengka, Ciamis, Bandung, Sumedang, Garut, Tasikmalaya, Sukabumi politicaly claimed that Sunda religion was infidel and deceiver. Then he explained that everybody had right to embrace religion, but he himself chose Java religion as destiny of God because he was born as Javanese. As a person who hold Java religion, in strugling for doing God’s decree, he accepted all the suffer without violence.
