Message from the chief executive of the government of the Ryukyu Islands.(message to international Buddhist conference May,A.D.1954) Ladies and gentlemen.It is my greatest honour to make a speech on this occasion that international Buddhist conference is hield.It has passed two five hundred years since the Buddha came into the world and Buddhism has been contributing greatly to the development of mental culture of the human beings in our long histiry.I pay my best respects to the conference where representatives from every country meet in this Buddhistic country Burma,not only studying the Buddha's doctrine expecting its development but also to contribute to the promotion of friendship among thousands of Buddhist in the world. I hereby,on behaft of the Reyukyuan people,bless the success of this conference and at the same time i pray for all the excellent representative'happiness.Thank you....The Sixth Sangkhayana Buddha Jayanti celebrations that held in Burma on May,1956,(see Nr.H1037).
