Senior monks and abbots from monasteries of Luang Prabang receive the reclining Buddha images from King Sisavangvatthana in the Royal Palace, Luang Prabang on Wednesday 5th July in C.E. 1961, corresponds to 8th day of waning moon of 8th month of Lao calendar in B.E. 2504. This photo shows that Sathou Nyai Khamphan Phatthathammo, Abbot of Vat Khom Khouang receiving the reclining Buddha image from King Sisavangvatthana.
