Buddhist nuns observed the eight precepts and practised Vipassana (insight meditation) during Khao Phansa (Buddhist Lent) at Vat Nong Sikhounmeuang in 1950s. This photograph was taken by Sathou Ounheuan Hasapanyo of Vat Nong Sikhounmeuang, who is also the younger brother of Sathou Nyai Phoumy Phalappatto (the abbot of Vat Nong Sikhounmeuang).
