After finishing the ordination ceremony in the main hall of the temple, the host of the ordination and Lao people will offer Kongbuad (set of offerings for the ordination) to the newly ordained monk. Then the newly ordained monk will give blessings to the host and to the Lao people and pours water on the ground to transfer the merits to the host's parents or relatives who passed away.
