Memorial service at the monument of the Russian Consul in Bitola - killed by the Turks in 1903. The monument was demolished around 1950.The monument "Russian Cross" was erected in 1936 in memory of Alexander Arkadievich Rostkovsky, Russian Consul in Bitola from 1895 to 1903. At the place where the murder took place a small memorial was located until 1936 when the monument “Russian Cross” was erected. This monument was destroyed after the Second World War and events connected with the Informbiro. On August 8, 2003, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his death, a new monument was built in the same place.
