This series comprises a rich and diverse collection of texts, including literary works, liturgical manuals, philosophical treatises, and personal notes. The texts are thoughtfully organized into multiple volumes, usually in the flexible poti style, with variations in size and format, reflecting the distinct nature of each work. The majority of the texts are manuscripts written in uchen and umey scripts, using black ink on cream-colored, handmade Bhutanese paper. The collection also features block prints produced from woodblocks crafted in Lhalung, Tibet, as well as from Nimalung and other regions of Bhutan. These sacred volumes are meticulously preserved, stored on traditional bookshelves, and wrapped in multiple layers of protective cloth to safeguard their integrity and spiritual significance for future generations.
Extent: 43 volumes of manuscripts.
