འཕགས་པ་དཀོན་མཆོག་བརྩེགས་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་གྲངས་སྟོང་ཕྲག་བརྒྱ་པ་

The dKon brtsegs, or Ratnakuta sutra group, encompasses a broad range of Mahayana sutras, covering themes such as meditation, altruism, the ultimate truth, and Bodhisattva practices. Unlike its usual inclusion as part of the Kanjur, the Archive of Kupijigsa Lhakhang features it as an independent collection. This collection spans eight volumes, diverging from the traditional six, and is formatted in the classic loose-leaf 'poti' style. It is meticulously inscribed in the uchen script using black ink on cream-colored paper that is handmade in Bhutan. Each page features two circular motifs known as "chos mig," or the 'eye of the scripture,' centrally placed to serve as a point for spiritual contemplation. Prominently situated on traditional bookshelves within the temple, this collection is given careful protection. It is wrapped in several layers of cloth and safeguarded between two wooden boards, which are tightly secured with a strap, ensuring its preservation.

Extent: 8 volumes of manuscripts.

Condition of original material: All the volumes have endured considerable damage from worms, and the majority of the top and bottom pages torn.

Author(s)/Creator(s): The collection was crafted with the endorsement of Pema Khando, a distinguished descendant of Domkhar Gyelpo. Its creation took place in Tshen-nga, located within the bounds of Yangnyer, during the Male Fire Sheep Year. Despite these details, pinpointing both the exact site within Yangnyer and the corresponding year in the Gregorian calendar remains a challenging task.
