This series encompasses a variety of texts, including Buddhist scriptures, hagiographies, biographies, liturgical texts, and commentaries on philosophical treatises. The majority of these texts are manuscripts written in the uchen script on Bhutanese handmade paper, while a few are block prints produced from blocks carved in Bhutan. This collection is prominently displayed on the traditional bookshelves within the various Lhakhang, in the central tower of the Dzong fortress. It is meticulously protected, wrapped in cloths, and shielded by two wooden boards securely fastened with a belt.
Extent: 31 volumes of manuscripts.
