This collection comprises handwritten manuscripts covering a wide range of subjects, including philosophical treatises, liturgical manuals, pith instructions, oral advice, astrological treatises, grammar, poetry, and more. While both uchen and ume scripts are represented, the majority of the texts are written in the uchen script. Like many traditional texts, the manuscripts are written on cream-colored dhabné handmade paper using black ink. Preserved as sacred relics, these manuscripts are housed in Yongla Temple. Stored in a specially designated room without shelves, each volume is meticulously wrapped in layers of cloth, secured between two wooden boards, and tied with string—reflecting the profound reverence and care dedicated to safeguarding these spiritual treasures.
Extent: 156 volumes of manuscripts.
