This series contains xylographic prints of Pema Karpo’s works, including commentaries on Buddhist philosophy from both sutra and tantra, as well as personal notes and liturgical manuals related to the Drukpa Kagyue tradition. Most of the texts are printed from woodblocks carved in Punakha, Bhutan, though some are printed from woodblocks carved in other locations. Like other texts, the collection is printed on cream-colored dhabné handmade paper with black ink. Preserved as sacred relics, these works are housed in Yongla Temple. Stored in a specially designated room without shelves, each volume is carefully wrapped in layers of cloth, secured between two wooden boards, and tied with string—symbolizing the deep reverence and care dedicated to preserving these spiritual treasures.
Extent: 40 volumes of manuscripts.
