The label over the cover identifies it as a ms of Durgotsavatattva, a Dharmaśāstric text which deals with the rituals of worshipping goddess Durgā. This book is a part of author’s encyclopaedic work, Smṛtitattva that is divided into 28 sections each of which bear the appellation Tattva. Many folios are torn and missing.
