A. The opening section states that the text is written in Javanese and draws its teachings from the Qur’an. Composed in the form of tembang (Javanese metrical verse), the text comprises one hundred stories and is titled Ambiya. It is believed that anyone who reads it will receive abundant blessings. The middle part recounts the story of Iblis and Prophet Noah, in which Iblis expresses his contentment with living on earth due to the many good things it contains. The final part tells of the Egyptians and the Israelites who turned to idol worship. B. This manuscript contains the teachings of Hidayat Jati, which is presented as a form of ma‘rifah—a deeper spiritual knowledge. The doctrine is conveyed as advice from the wali (Islamic saints) of Java following the passing of Kanjeng Susuhunan ing Ngampel Denta (Sunan Ampel). It elaborates on the science of spiritual perfection based on Islamic sources such as the Qur’an, Hadith, ijma‘, and qiyas. C. The manuscript titled Widya Pramana was composed by Begawan Yogiswara in Mamenang. It presents an account of the creation of the universe, drawing from the Serat Pustaka Darya, a sacred text believed to be authored by the gods. This cosmological explanation is also elaborated in the Serat Pralambang, particularly in the section known as Serat Darmasonya, which explores metaphysical themes in line with Javanese spiritual traditions.
