Fasting ritual of Amoghapasa Lokesvara or Karunamaya, one of the forms of Avalokitesvara. The fasting rituals of various deities have been a very popular religious observance among the Buddhist Newars of Kathmandu valley. This ritual is called ''Dhalam Danegu'' in vernacular Newari.
