ອານິສົງສ້າງພະໄຕປິຕະກະ

ໃນສະໄໝໜຶ່ງ ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າຊົງປະທັບຢູ່ວັດເຊຕະວັນ ເມືອງສາວັດຖີ ໄດ້ຕັດເທສະໜາເລື່ອງອານິສົງການສ້າງພະໄຕປິດົກແກ່ພະສາຣີບຸດເຖລະເຈົ້າ ໄດ້ເຂົ້າເຝົ້າພະສາດສະດາ ແລ້ວທູນຖາມເລື່ອງນີ້. ພະພຸດທະອົງຕັດວ່າ ນໍລະຍິງຊາຍຜູ້ໃດມີສັດທາເຫຼື້ອມໃສໄດ້ສ້າງໜັງສືພະໄຕປິດົກທີ່ບັນຈຸຄໍາສອນຂອງພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ ເພື່ອສືບອາຍຸພະພຸດທະສາສະໜາໃຫ້ຍືນຍາວ ຈະໄດ້ຮັບຜະລະອານິສົງອັນຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່ໄພສານຫາປະມານບໍ່ໄດ້ ຈະປາດຖະໜາສິ່ງໃດກໍ່ຈະໄດ້ສໍາເລັດດັ່ງເຈດຕະນາທຸກປະການ. ເມື່ອສິ້ນອາຍຸໄຂແລ້ວ ຈະໄດ້ໄປເກີດໃນສະຫວັນເປັນພະຍາອິນ ແລະຫຼັງຈາກນັ້ນ ຈະໄດ້ລົງມາເກີດໃນເມືອງມະນຸດເປັນພະເຈົ້າຈັກກະພັດ ເປັນເວລາຫຼາຍຊາດ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: (໑) ລານທີ ໑໔ ໜ້າ ໑: ພຸດທະສັງກາດ ໒໔໘໕ ຕົວ ປີເຕົ່າສະງ້າ ເດືອນ ໑໐ ແຮມ ໘ ຄໍ່າ ວັນ ໖ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມກອງງາຍມ ໝາຍມີ ເຈົ້າຍິງຄໍາ ອົງຜູ້ເປັນມານດາກັບບຸດເຈົ້າຍິງຄໍາຜຸຍ ແລະ ເຈົ້າຊາຍບຸນຄົງ ແລະ ເຈົ້າຍິງຄໍາຫລ້າທັງ ໔ ພະອົງນີ້ໄດ້ມີໃຈໃສສັດທາສ້າງໜັງສື ພະວິໄນຍະປິຕະກະ ນີ້ໄວ້ກັບສາສະໜາພະຕະຖາຄົດເຈົ້າ ເທົ້າ ໕໐໐໐ ພະວັດສາ ຂໍໃຫ້ຜູ້ຂ້າທັງຫລາຍໄດ້ເຖິງສຸກ ໓ ປະການມີນີຣະພານເປັນທີ່ແລ້ວ ຂໍຢ່າຄາດແຄ້ວດັ່ງຄໍາປາດຖະໜາແດ່ກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ ນິບພານະ ປັດຈະໂຍ ໂຫຕຸ ໂນ. (໒) ລານທີ ໑໕ ໜ້າ ໑: ພຸດທະສັງກາດ ໒໔໘໕ ໝາຍມີ ສາທຸອຸ່ນແລະໝ່ອມທີ ບ້ານວິຊຸນ ຜົວເມຍ ມີໃຈໃສສັດທາສ້າງຍັງ ອານິສົງສ້າງພະໄຕປິຕະກະ ຜູກນີ້ ໄວ້ກັບພະພຸດທະສາສະໜາ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕໐໐໐ ພະວັດສາ ສາທຸໆ ນິບພານະ ປັດຈະໂຍ ໂຫຕຸ ອະນາຄະເຕ ກາເລ ນິດຈັງ ທຸວັງ.

On one occasion, while residing at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi, the Buddha gave a sermon on the merit derived from making the manuscripts of the Tipitaka (the three baskets) to Sariputta Thera who came to the presence of the Buddha and asked the Buddha about this. The Buddha said that any women or men who have the ardent religious faith made the manuscripts of the Buddha’s teachings in order to support the Teachings of the Buddha will gain great merit incalculably. Their wishes will come true in any aspects. After death, they will be reborn in the heaven as king of the gods (Indra). Thereafter, they will reborn again in the human wolrd as emperors for many existences. Colophons: (1) Folio 14 on the recto side: Buddhist Era (BE) 2485, a tao sanga year, on the eighth day of the waning moon of the tenth lunar month, the sixth day of the week (Friday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Princess Kham who is the mother and her children namely Princess Khamphui and Prince Bounkhong and Princess Khamla, the four princes had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Phavinaiya Pitaka (Vinaya Pitaka), to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May we all reach the three states of happiness with Nirvana as the ultimate goal. May our wishes not be ignored, definitely. May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana). (2) Folio 15 on the recto side: Buddhist Era (BE) 2485. Prince Oun and his wife, (Mòm) Princess Thi from Visun village had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Ᾱnisong Sang Phataipidok (Rewards derived from the making of Tipitaka books), to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Well done, well done. May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana in the future, constantly and certainly.
