The content tells about Pacchima ovada, the last instruction that the Buddha said to bhikkhus and his other followers before his parinibbāna. The last verse is “Handa dāni bhikkhave āmantayāmi vo Vaya-dhammā saṅkhārā Appamādena sampādethā’ti Ayaṃ tathāgatassa pacchimā vācā ‘Now, take heed, bhikkhus, I caution you thus: Dissolution is the nature of all conditions.
