Visuddhimagga refers to the path of purity is the scripture that explains the principles of practice that lead to Nirvana based on the principles of the morality, meditation and wisdom. The original was written in Pali by an Indian Buddhist teacher, Buddhagosa in Lanka. The text of this fascicle tells about Vipassanupakilesa: imperfections or defilemants of insight inclide 10 as following: 1. Obhasa: illumination; luminous aura, 2. Nana: knowledge, 3. Piti: rapture; unprecedented joy, 4. Passaddhi: tranquillity, 5. Sukha: bliss; pleasure, 6. Adhimokkha: favor; resolution; determination, 7. Paggaha: exertion; strenuousness, 8. Upatthana: established mindfulness, 9. Upekkha: equanimity, and 10. Nikanta: delight. Colophon: Folio 27 on the recto side: Sitthi buarabat Chunlasangkatrasa (CS) 1275, a ka pao year, on the fifteenth day of the waxing moon of the third lunar month, a kat hao day, the writing of this manuscript was accomplished at the time of thae kai thiang van (between 9.00–10.30 o’clock). The initiator, Pa (aunt) Kaeo whose house was the head of the village had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Visutthimak (Visuddhimagga) to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May our wishes and desires come true. May we reach the three states of happiness that is happiness in the heavenly realm and Nirvanaa. Nibbāna paccayo hontu no niccam dhuvam dhuvam (May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvanaa, constantly and certainly).
