The content tells the power of Metteyya Sutta. Once, the Buddha spoke to Venerable Sariputta that after 5,000 years of his Teachings, the people will become more jealous. They will kill each other. That time is called kaliyuka (chaos) or dark age. By the power of this Metteyya Sutta, whoever listened to it, written it by himself, or hired someone else to write it for him, memorised it, taught it to others, worshiped and respected it, will be free from all sufferings and dangers.
