In the Buddha’s time, there was a girl named Passacitta Kummali living in Aranyakham, not far from the Veluvanna monastery. She was the daughter of King of Benares. After the death of her parent, she was orphan and destitute with no relative and no supporter. The property from her parent had been finished. She thought that this might be the results of her previous bad actions. Then she came to the Buddha and asked the Buddha about her situation. Thus, the Buddha delivered a sermon and described that in her previous existences, she had never observed precepts, did not respect to parents and old people. That was why she is destitute.
