ນະຄອນ (ຖ້ວນ ໑໖)

ນະຄອນ ເປັນກັນສຸດທ້າຍ ໃນຈໍານວນ ໑໓ ກັນ ໃນເຫວດສັນຕະຣະຊາດົກ ມີ ໔໘ ຄາຖາ. ເນື້ອໃນກ່າວເຖິງ ພະເວດສັນດອນຊົງລາຜະນວດ ຊົງສັງລາອາສົມ ຮັບເຄື່ອງຊົງແຫ່ງກະສັດ ສະເດັດກັບນະຄອນສີພີ ຊົງຄອງຣາດດ້ວຍທົດສະພິດຣາຊະທໍາໃຫ້ເກີດຄວາມຮ່ວມເຍັນ ຈົນພະຊົນມາຍຸໄດ້ ໑໒໐ ພັນສາ ຈຶ່ງສະເດັດສະຫວັນຄົດ ໄປເກີດເປັນທ້າວສັນດຸສິດເທບພະບຸດ ໃນສະຫວັນຊັ້ນດຸສິດ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ ໒໑ ໜ້າ ໑: ພຸດທະສັງກາດໄດ້ ໒໕໑໔ ຕົວ ປີເຕົ່າໃຈ້ ເດືອນເກົ້າ (໙) ແຮມ ໑໒ ຄໍ່າ ວັນຈັນ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມກອງແລງ ໝາຍມີ ທ້າວຄໍາຊາຍ ຜົວເມຍ ນາງຄໍາຊາວ ບ້ານຊຽງມ່ວນ ພະນະຄອນຫລວງພະບາງ ມີຄວາມເຫລື້ອມໃສສັດທາໄດ້ພ້ອມກັນສ້າງຍັງລໍາ ພະເວດນະຄອນ ຜູກນີ້ ໄວ້ກັບສາສະໜາພະໂຄດົມເຈົ້າ ຕາບເທົ້າ ໕ ພັນວັດສາ. ຂໍກຸສະລະກຸສົນຜົນບຸນອັນນີ້ ຈົ່ງເປັນອຸປັດນີໄສຄໍ້າຊູຜູ້ຂ້າທັງຫລາຍພ້ອມດ້ວຍພໍ່ແມ່ພີ່ນ້ອງລູກຫລານຊູ່ຄົນກໍ່ຂ້າເທີ້ນ ນິບພານະ ປັດຈະໂຍ ໂຫຕຸ ໂນ ນິດຈັງ ທຸວັງ.

Nakhòn or Nagara the last episode of a total of 13 episodes of the Vessantara Jataka with 48 verses. Nakhòn means “city”, the content tells Vessantara disrobed from ascetichood and left his hermitage. The prince dressed in royal suits and returned Sivi. He ruled his kingdom with royal virtues and died at the age of 120 years. He happens in Tusita heaven as Male Deity Santusita. Colophon: Folio 21 on the recto side: Buddhist Era (BE) 2514, a tao chai year, on the twelfth day of the waning moon of the ninth lunar month, Monday, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng laeng (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Thao (Mr) Khamsai and his wife, Nang Khamsao from Xiang Muan village, Luang Prabang capital had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Pha Vet Nakhòn (Vessantara Jataka, Nagara episode) to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May the results of this merit be a condition to support all of us and our parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana, constantly and certainly.
