ໃນກາລະຄັ້ງໜຶ່ງ ພະເຈົ້າພົມມະທັດສະເຫວີຍຣາຊະສົມບັດໃນເມືອງພາຣານະສີ ມີພະອັກຄະມະເຫສີ ຊົງພະນາມວ່າ ພະນາງເກດສະນີ ແຕ່ບໍ່ມີທາຍາດທີ່ຈະສືບວົງຕະກູນ. ພະຣາຊາຈຶ່ງສັ່ງໃຫ້ພະມະເຫສີຮັກສາສີນອຸໂປສົດ ແລ້ວຕັ້ງຈິດອະທິດຖານຂໍພະໂອລົດ. ດ້ວຍອໍານາດບຸນໃນການຮັກສາສີນ ເມື່ອພະຍາອິນຮັບຮູ້ ຈຶ່ງເຊີນພະໂພທິສັດເທວະບຸດ ໃຫ້ລົງມາປະຕິສົນທິໃນທ້ອງຂອງພະນາງ. ເມື່ອພະໂພທິສັດປະສູດອອກມາແລ້ວ ມີຊື່ວ່າ ສຸທະນູ. ເມື່ອຈະເລີນໄວຂຶ້ນມາ ມ້າມະນີກັງຂາໄດ້ພາເຈົ້າສຸທະນູເຫາະໄປເຖິງເມືອງເສຕະນະຄອນ ເພື່ອເຂົ້າສູ່ການແຂ່ງຂັນຍິງທະນູ. ເຈົ້າສຸທະນູສາມາດຍົກທະນູທີ່ມີນໍ້າໜັກໃຊ້ຄົນຍົກເຖິງໜຶ່ງພັນຄົນ. ພະຍາເສວະຕະຣະຣາດຜູ້ປົກຄອງເມືອງນັ້ນ ຈຶ່ງຍົກລູກສາວ ຊື່ວ່າ ພະນາງຈິຣະປະພາໃຫ້ເປັນພັນລະຍາ. ຕໍ່ມາ ຂັນຕາຣະຍັກຈັບມ້າມະນີກັງຂາ ໄປກັກຂັງທີ່ເມືອງຍັກ ເຈົ້າສຸທະນູຈຶ່ງໄປຍັງເມືອງຍັກ ໄດ້ປາບຂັນຕາຣະຍັກ ແລ້ວສັ່ງສອນໃຫ້ຂັນຕາຣະຍັກຢູ່ໃນສີນທໍາ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ ໒໖ ໜ້າ ໑: ສັງກາດໄດ້ ໑໒໒໓ ຕົວ ປີຮ້ວງເຮົ້າ ເດືອນ ໑໐ ແຮມ ໑໐ ຄໍ່າ ວັນອາທິດ ມື້ຮ້ວງໃສ້ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວກອງງາຍ ໝາຍມີ ທຸໂສພາ ສະຫະບຸດຕະນັດຕາພັນທຸວົງສາ ພ້ອມກັນມີໃຈໃສສັດທາໄດ້ສ້າງ ສຸດທະນຸ ກັບນີ້ ໄວ້ສາສະໜາພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕ ພັນວັດສາ ສາທຸ [ສຸດ]ທິນັງ ວັດຕະ ເມ ທານັງ ນິບພານັງ ປະຣະມັງ ສຸກຂັງ ສາທຸ ນິດຈັງ ທຸວັງ.
Once, King Phommathat who ruled Varanasi city had his queen named Ketsani, but they had no inheritance to inherit the clan. So, the king asked his queen to observe the uposatha precepts and prayed for a child. Due to the results of observing the precept, when Indra acknowledged, he invited Bodhisattva Deva to come down to be fertilized in the queen’s womb. After the Bodhisattva was born, he had a given name as Suthanu (Sudhanu). When he grew up, the horse Manikankha took Suthanu to the city of Seta to participate in the archery competition. Suthanu could lift the bow that weighs up for a thousand people to lift. The ruler of that city, King Sevatara offered Suthanu his daughter named Chirapapha as his wife. Later, the giant Khantara took the horse Manikangkha and imprisoned it in the city of giants. So Suthanu went to the giant town, subdued the giant and taught the giant to be moral. Thu (Prince) Sopha together with all his children, grandchildren and relatives had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Sutthanu to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Amen! May this gift of mine be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna which is the greatest bliss constantly and certainly.
