ພະມະຫາຊະນົກຊາດົກ ມີເຄົ້າເລື່ອງວ່າ ພະໂພທິສັດສະເຫວີຍພະຊາດເປັນພະມະຫາຊະນົກ ໂອລົດຂອງພະເຈົ້າອະຣິດຖະຊະນົກ ແຫ່ງນະຄອນມິຖິລາ ເມື່ອຍັງຢູ່ຄັນຂອງພະມານດານັ້ນ ພະບິດາ ໄດ້ເຮັດສົງຄາມກັບພະອະນຸຊາ(ນ້ອງຊາຍ)ຂອງພະອົງຈົນສິ້ນພະຊົນ(ຕາຍ). ພະມານດາ ຈຶ່ງໜີໄປຢູ່ນະຄອນກາລະຈໍາປາກະ ຕໍ່ມາກໍ່ປະສູດພະມະຫາຊະນົກ ເມື່ອພະມະຫາຊະນົກເຕີບໃຫຍ່ຂຶ້ນ ຊາບເລື່ອງລາວຂອງພະບິດາ ຈຶ່ງຕັ້ງໃຈສຶກສາສິລະປະວິທະຍາທຸກຂະແໜງຈົນແຕກສານ. ເມື່ອອາຍຸຄົບ ໑໖ ພັນສາ ຈຶ່ງຂໍທຶນຊັບຈາກພະມານດາ ນໍາໄປທໍາການຄ້າທາງເຮືອສໍາເພົາ ເພື່ອຫາທຶນໄປຊີງເມືອງຄືນມາ. ແຕ່ຂະນະເດີນທາງກາງມະຫາສະໝຸດ ເຮືອສໍາເພົາໄດ້ອັບປາງລົງ ຜູ້ຄົນທັງຫຼາຍກໍ່ຈົມນໍ້າຕາຍ ບາງຄົນກໍ່ຕົກເປັນເຫຍື່ອຂອງສັດທະເລ. ພະມະຫາຊະນົກອົດທົນລອຍນໍ້າໃນມະຫາສະໝຸດເຖິງ ໗ ວັນ. ນາງມະນີເມກຂະລາ ຜູ້ຮັກສາມະຫາສະໝຸດ ເຫັນແລ້ວເກີດຄວາມເຫຼື້ອມໃສ ຈຶ່ງຊ່ອຍພາຂຶ້ນຝັ່ງໃນອຸທະຍານຂອງພະເຈົ້າໂປລະຊະນົກ ຊຶ່ງສະຫວັນຄົດໄປແລ້ວ. ໃນຂະນະນັ້ນ ພະທິດາກໍາລັງຊົງຫາຄູ່ຄອງດ້ວຍການສ່ຽງລົດ ຈົນພະມະຫາຊະນົກໄຂປິດສະໜາໄດ້ ຈຶ່ງໄດ້ເປັນຜູ້ຄອງຣາຊະສົມບັດນັ້ນ. ວັນໜຶ່ງ ພະອົງສະເດັດໄປອຸທະຍານ ຊົງເຫັນຕົ້ນໝາກມ່ວງ ໒ ຕົ້ນ, ຕົ້ນໜຶ່ງອອກໝາກເຕັມຕົ້ນ ອີກຕົ້ນບໍ່ມີໝາກ ເມື່ອສະເດັດກັບມາອີກຄັ້ງ ກໍ່ພົບວ່າ ຕົ້ນທີ່ມີໝາກເຕັມນັ້ນ ຖືກດຶງຫັກໂຄ່ນລົງໝົດ ສ່ວນຕົ້ນທີ່ບໍ່ມີໝາກຍັງຢູ່ດີ ເຮັດໃຫ້ພະອົງເຫັນໂທດຂອງການຄອງຣາຊະສົມບັດ ວ່າປຽບເໝືອນຕົ້ນໝາກມ່ວງທີ່ມີໝາກກໍ່ມີໄພ ຫາກບໍ່ມີມາກ ກໍ່ບໍ່ມີໄພ ການສະຫຼະຣາຊະສົມບັດອອກບວດກໍ່ເໝືອນຕົ້ນໝາກມ່ວງທີ່ບໍ່ມີໝາກກໍ່ບໍ່ມີໄພ ຈຶ່ງຊົງອອກບວດເປັນລືສີ ເລື່ອງນີ້ເນັ້ນການບໍາເພັນຄວາມພຽນພະຍາຍາມຄື “ວິຣິຍະປາຣະມີ”. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ່ ໒໕ ໜ້າ ໑: ຈຸນລະສັງກາດໄດ້ ໑ ຮ້ອຍ (ກົງກັບ ຈສ. ໑໑໐໐ ເປິກສະງ້າ) ຕົວປີເປິກເສັດ ເດືອນຍີ່ ແຮມ ໙ ຄໍ່າ ມື້ເຕົ່າຍີ່ ວັນ ໔ ລິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມຕູດຕັ້ງ ມີມະຫາອັກຄະວໍຣະຄູພຸດທະວົງສາໂພນໄຊຍະລາມາທິບໍດີ ມີໃຈໃສສັດທາຈຶ່ງໄດ້ສ້າງ ທົດຊາດ ໄວ້ກັບສາສະໜາ ເທົ້າ ໕ ພັນວັດສາ ຂໍໃຫ້ຜູ້ຂ້າໄດ້ເຖິງສຸກ ໓ ປະການ ມີນິບພານເປັນທີ່ແລ້ວກໍຂ້າເທີ້ນ.

Mahajanaka Jataka has a story that the Bodhisatta took the life of Mahajanaka, the son of King Aritthajanaka of Mithila. While he was still in the womb, the father had been a war with his own brother until his death. So the mother fled to the city of Kalachampaka. Later, Mahajanaka was born. When the Mahajanaka grew up and knew the story of the father, therefore, he intended to study all fields of arts and science until he had become fluent. When he was 16 years old, he asked for assets from his mother to trade in junk in order to find funds to win back the city. But while travelling in the ocean, the junk was sank and other people drowned. Some of them fall prey to sea creatures. Mahajanaka patiently swam in the ocean for 7 days. Manimekkhala, the protector angel of the sea, saw and had faith in him, helped him to the bank at the garden of King Polajanaka who had passed away. At the time, the king’s daughter was looking for her mate by releasing a carriage. When, Mahajanaka solved the mystery, he became the reigning monarch. One day, he went to the royal park, he saw two mango trees. One tree was full of fruit, the other had no fruit. When he came back again, he found that the mango tree which was full of fruit had torn down all of it. The unfruited tree was still in good shape. Causing him to see the punishment of the reign as like a mango tree with fruit and danger. If the tree has no fruit, there is no danger. The abdication of the throne to become an ascetic is like a mango tree with no fruit and no danger. Finally, he was ordained. This story focuses on the prestige in regards to perseverance that is “the perfection of perseverance”. Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: Chunlasangkat one hundred (corresponding with CS 1100, a poek sanga), a poek set year, a tao nyi day, the ninth day of the waning moon of the second lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), the writing was accomplished at the time of tut tang (between 6.00–7.30 o’clock). Maha Akkhavorakhu Phutthavongsa Phonsainyalamathbodi had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Thotsat, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May I reach the three states of happiness and reach Nibbāna which is the ultimate goal.
