The content tells Somadatta was forbidding his father from being ungrateful to the benefactor by telling the residence of Bhuridatta to the Brahmin who had the mantra of Alambayana in exchange for the crystal. Somadatta spoke to his father that “One who harms his friend and rejects his kindness will be engulfed in a deadly hell. The earth will draw in the person. Even when he is alive, he becomes pale. If you desire wealth, Bhuridatta, the naga prince would probably give. I understand that you will soon have to suffer the duty you have committed.” Colophon: Folio 27 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa thousand 2 hundred and 6 (corresponding with CS 1206), a kap si year, the twelfth day of the waning moon of the fifth lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday), a kap chai day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). The royal king had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Lam phurithat, in order to dedicate this merit to Sathu Khu from Vat Mai and to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition to reach Nibbāna certainly.
