ເນື້ອໃນກ່າວເຖິງ ຕອນພະເຈົ້າອະໂສກມະຫາຣາດແຫ່ງເມືອງປາຕະລີບຸດ ໄດ້ສ້າງເຈດີ ໘໔,໐໐໐ ແຫ່ງ ແລະວັດອະໂສກກາຣາມ ໄດ້ອຸປະຖໍາພິກຂຸ ໖໐,໐໐໐ ອົງດ້ວຍປັດໄຈສີ່. ວັນໜຶ່ງ ພະເຈົ້າອະໂສກມະຫາຣາດ ໄດ້ຖວາຍມະຫາທານແກ່ພິກຂຸທັງຫລາຍ ໘໔,໐໐໐ ອົງ ທີ່ວັດອະໂສກກາຣາມ ແລ້ວໄດ້ຕັດຖາມປັນຫານີ້ວ່າ “ຂ້າແດ່ທ່ານຜູ້ຈະເລີນ ຊື່ວ່າ ພະທໍາທີ່ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າຊົງສະແດງໄວ້ແລ້ວມີປະມານເທົ່າໃດ?” ເມື່ອນັ້ນ ພິກຂຸທີ່ເປັນຕົວແທນຂອງຄະນະສົງກໍ່ໄດ້ຖວາຍພະພອນວ່າ “ດູລາມະຫາຣາດ ອັນຊື່ວ່າພະທໍາທີ່ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າຊົງສະແດງໄວ້ແລ້ວນັ້ນ ວ່າໂດຍອົງມີ ໙ ອົງ ແລະວ່າໂດຍຂັນ ມີ ໘໔,໐໐໐ ພະທໍາມະຂັນ.” ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ່ ໒໕ ໜ້າ ໒: ສັງກາດຣາຊະໄດ້ ໒໕໐໙ (ຮວາຍສະງ້າ) ຕົວ ປີເມິ່ງມົດ ເດືອນ ໔ ຂື້ນ ໔ ຄໍ່າ ວັນ ໗ ສັດທາໝາຍມີ ພະປິດຕາ ມະຫາເຖຣະເຈົ້າ ບຸນທັນ ວັດສຸວັນນະພູມມາລາມ ມີໃຈໃສສັດທາອັນຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່ ຈຶ່ງໄດ້ສ້າງໜັງສື ອຸປະຄຸດ ຜູກຕົ້ນ ໄວ້ກັບພະພຸດທະສາສະໜາ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕ ພັນພະວັດສາ ຂໍໃຫ້ໄດ້ດັ່ງຄໍາມັກຄໍາປາດຖະໜາທຸກສິ່ງທຸກປະການ ຄືວ່າໃຫ້ໄດ້ເຖິງສຸກ ໓ ປະການ ມີນີຣະພານເປັນທີ່ແລ້ວ ຂໍຢ່າໄດ້ຄາດແຄ້ວດັ່ງຄໍາມັກຄໍາປາດຖະໜາແດ່ກໍຂ້າເທີ້ນ ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າທິດຍາ ບ້ານຈ່ານໃຕ້ ເປັນຜູ້ຂຽນພະທໍາມະໃຫ້ເປັນທານ ສາທຸ ພັນເຕ ພະຄະວາ ຣັດຕະນະໄຕຍັງ ສະຣະນັງ ຄັດສາມິ ອະຫັງ ສໍາມາສໍາພຸດໂທ ອະນະຄະເຕກາເລ.
The content tells King Asoka the great of Pataliputta had built 84,000 stupas and the monastery of Asokaram. The king also supported 60,000 monks with four requisites. One day the king offered offerings to 84,000 monks at Asokaram and then asked the monks that “Dear Sir! How many the Dhamma that were preached by the Buddha?” Then one senior monk who was a representative of the monks answered that “Your Majesty! The Dhamma that were preached by the Buddha has nine sections or 84,000 khandha (categories).” Colophon: Folio 25 on the verso side: Sangkatrasa 2509, a moeng mot year (corresponding with a hwai sanga year), the fourth day of the waxing moon of the fourth lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday). Phapita (Father monk) Mahatherachao Bunthan from Vat Suvannaphummaram had the most ardent religious to sponsored the making of this manuscript [entitled] Upakhut, first fascicle, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May my wishes and desires come true. May I reach the three states of happiness with Nibbāna is the ultimate goal. May my wishes not be ignored. I am Thit (ex-monk) Nya from Ban Chan Tai wrote this manuscript as a Dhamma gift. Sādhu bhante bhagavā rattanateyyaṃ saranaṃ gacchāmi ahaṃ sammāsambuddho anāgate kāle.
