Vinaya text on Pacittaya (rules entailing confession). The text was written in Nisaya style tells the part ninth: The valuable chapter of pacittiya. For examples: Should any bhikkhu, without being previously announced, cross the threshold of a consecrated noble king's (sleeping chamber) from which the king has not left, from which the treasure (the queen) has not withdrawn, it is to be confessed. Should any bhikkhu pick up or have (someone) pick up a valuable or what is considered a valuable, except within a monastery or within a dwelling, it is to be confessed. Should any bhikkhu have a robe made the size of the Sugata robe or larger, it is to be cut down and confessed. Here, the size of the Sugata robe is this: nine spans, using the Sugata span, in length, six spans in width. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Chunlasangkat 182 (corresponding with CS 1182), a kot si year, the seventh day of the waning moon of the seventh lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday), a poek san day. Akkhavòrarasakhuchao from Vat Phon Kaeo offered gold and silver to the His Majesty King of the kingdom of Chanthaburi in order to sponsor the making of this manuscript of Tipitaka and to support the Teaching of the Buddha in Luang Prabang. The writing of this manuscript was accomplished at the time of the kòng ngai (between 7.30 - 9.00 o’clock).
