Vinaya text on the Patimokkha. The text was written in Nisaya style tells the five preliminary functions which have to be done before the uposatha (the recitation of the Patimokkha) including: to bring a proxy of the sick monk; to bring the sick monk’s purity; to tell the season; to count the number of monks, and to teach the female monks. Moreover, the content tells on how to perform the uposatha in case the number of monks is different. There will use the particular words in Pali for each case. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Sangkatrasa 169 (corresponding with CS 1169), a moeng mao, the third day of the waxing moon of the eighth lunar month, the third day of the week (Tuesday), a ka hao day. The writing of this manuscript was accomplished at the time of the thae kai thiang (between 9.00 – 10.30 o’clock). Rasakhru from Vat Vixun had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Sap Patimok, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition to reach Nibbāna. The first fascicle. This manuscript belongs to Vat Nòi monastery which is located in the center of the town.
