Samantapāsādikā is a commentary on the Vinaya Pitaka. The text was written in Pali language. Samantapāsādikā means "All pleasing" was written by Buddhaghosa in Sri Lanka in the 5th century. In brief, the content is divided into two types: (1) The main content related the Dhamma and Vinaya such as the cause of the first Buddhist Council, the second, 3rd and 4th. (2) There are explanations on the nine virtues of the Buddha, mindfulness, concentration, practice, mind, spirit, organic matter, and explanations of the Pārājika, Sanghadisesa, etc., both for monks and female monks. Colophon: Folio 26 on the verso side: Chunlasangkat 46 (corresponding with CS 1046), a kap chai year, the fullmoon day of the eleventh lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday). Pao and his wife, I Bun had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Samanta Pasathika, bundle 1, to support the Teachings of the Buddha. Somdet Vinaithon is the sponsor.
