The Dhammapada story of Visakha. Visakha married Pannavaddana, the son of Millionaire Migara in Savatthi. When the time came for Visakha to leave for her husband’s family, her father Dhananjaya gave her ten admonitions. The admonitions are: not to give fire from the house outside; not to take into the house fire from without; to give only to those who give in return; not to give to those who do not give in return; to give to him that gives and to him that gives not; to sit happily; to eat happily; to sleep happily; to tend the fire; and to hounor household deities. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Sangkat 173 (corresponding with CS 1173), a huang mot year, on the eighth day of the waxing moon of the eleventh lunar month. His majesty the king of Sisattanakharahutta Nusuvannaphumintha kingdom had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Thambot (Dhammapada. May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna.
