On one occasion, Phanya Satthatissarat ruled Anuratha kingdom. At the time, a monk saw a ghost who was a relative of the kingl. As a result, he often stole other people's property and the belongings of monks. After the death, he was reborn as a ghost dressed in a hot iron cloth with suffering. The ghost told the monk that he was a relative of Phanya Satthatissarat. When the monk told the king, he performed the ritual and dedicated the portion to charity to the ghost. The ghost then was freed from the demonic state and reborn as a deva in heaven.
