The content tells the steps of the Buddha’s sermons after attaining the enlightenment and became the Buddha. Firstly, the Buddha preached the sermons of the Suttas (Discourses). Secondly, the Buddha preached the sermons of the Vinaya (Disciplines). Thirdly, the Buddha preached the sermons of the Abhidhamma (Higher doctrine). In the first year, the Buddha preached the sermon of Dhammacakkappavatta Sutta to the five ascetics. Later he preached the sermon of the Anupubbi Gatha to Young Yasa and his friends. In the second year, the monastic order grew in numbers. Those monks did not dress properly and their improper behaviours were blamed by people. The Buddha allowed the preceptors to teach them. Later, the monks did not follow their preceptors’ instructions. The Buddha had to lay down the monastic disciplines such as Dukkata, Dubbāsita, Thullaccaya, Pācittiya and other. When a case of Monk Sudina had conducted adultery with his old wife in Vesali, the Buddha laid down the first Parajika that is misconduct adultery.
