The text tells about Suvanamukkha Bodhisatta. On one occasion, while residing at the Jetavana monastery in Savatthi, the Buddha spoke to his disciples and King Pasenadi about the Bodhisatta named Suvanamukkha. Once upon a time, King Sirisutthirat ruled the kingdom of Maggadara. The king had his queen named Chanthasuvana. The Bodhisatta devaputta descended into her womb. While she was pregnant, she was very fond of giving alms. So, the king invited eight Brahmins to prophesy. Those Brahmins prophesied that the royal son will be a virtuous person and would become a Buddha in the future. When the Queen gave birth to her son, the king named him Suvanamukkha Kumara. When he grew up, he loved to give alms, observe the precepts and shoot archery. When he was 16 years old, he graduated the three Vedas of the Hindu religion and later King Sirisuthirat anointed him as a new king to the throne instead of him. King Suvanamukkha ruled the village He ruled his kingdom with the principles of the ten royal virtues.
