The text tells about the merit derived from the making of the manuscript called 8 Muen (Eighty-four thousand categories of the Dhamma) and listening to the preaching of the Tipitaka by monks on various occasions. The good results from the making of the manuscript 8 Muen will support the sponsores possessing heavenly status with becoming Indra living in Tāvatiṃsa heaven for eighty thousand heavenly years. After the heaven, they will come to the earth and become emperors ruling kingdoms and are respected by people. Colophon: Folio 24 on the recto side: Mae-ok Xiang Nya (wife of Ex-monk Nya) had the ardent religious faith sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] 8 mün (eighty thousand) in a hap mot year, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until we enter Nirvana. May our wishes come true. May this condition for us not be floated away by water, not be burnt by fire. 8 mün, fascicle 5.
