Sonanda Jataka tells about the story of a previous life of the Buddha when the Bodhisatta was born as Sonanda Kumara. On one occasion, the Buddha was present in Nigrodharam. Many bhikkhus discussed the matter of Cinca Manavika who falsely accused the Buddha that she got pregnant with him. The Buddha then brought the story of Sonanda Kumara to preach. Once upon a time, the Bodhisatta was born as Sonanda Kumara, the son of King Dhammadhura of Varanasi. Sonanda was falsely accused by Kalakanni who was sister-in-law. In this life, Kalakanni was born as Cinca Manavika still falsely accussed the Buddha.
