The content tells about a senior monk named Dhammaparosiripanno who was diligent and determined mind unshaken by defilements and greed. He was determined to strictly follow the teachings of the Buddha and was delighted in the Dhamma Rattana Sutta. He took the Triple Gem as refuge. He regularly considered the Tilakkhana (the three characteristics) including Aniccaṃ: impermanence, Dukkhaṃ: state of suffering, Anattā: soullessness until he attained enlightenment and entered Nirvana. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: In Sangkatrasa (CS) 1263, a ka pao year, on the twelfth day of the waning moon of the second lunar month, a huang pao day, the third day of the week (Tuesday), [the writing was accomplished] at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Phanya Supho and his wife together with their children, grandchildren and relatives sponsored the making of these eight manuscript-fascicles [entitled] Thamma Rattanasut (Ratana Sutta) to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ (Nibbāna is the greatest bliss).
