Vedāntakalpataru

The bundle contains an Advaita-Vedānta work - the Vedāntakalpataru by Amalānanda (f° 61v: end of 1.1; f° 69r: end of 1.2; f° 93r: end of 1.3; f° 108v: end of the first adhyāya; f° 117r: end of 2.1; f° 145v: end of 2.2 (or 2.3); f° 170v: end of 3.1; f° 249r: end of the third adhyāya; f° 262r: end of 4.1, some rubrics invisible due to heavy damage). It is complete, except for the damaged parts, the first and the last folio. The leaflet mentioning "Viṣṇubhaṭṭi - Vedāntam" is intriguing. At first one would think it indicates Viṣṇubhaṭṭa's Ṛjuvivaraṇa, a common sight in the Thrissur collection. Since the work copied is actually different, the name "Viṣṇubhaṭṭa" may be the name of the scribe or owner. But it is also possible that it does refer to the well-known Viṣṇubhaṭṭa, and got misplaced. The same indication is found on the wooden cover of the manuscript, which makes the permutation somewhat unlikely. The manuscript is severely damaged - around 60% still legible. There are two stray fragments in the bundle, the first entirely unrelated.
